EMB Functional Safety Expert

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the safety analysis of EMB system, conducting FMEA and FTA based on system architecture,and developing safety requirements.
  • Responsible for the development of fail-operational strategies: including the design of system operational modes and safety states, master-slave redundancy design, and function degradation strategies.
  • Conduct safety analysis based on EMB functional architecture and definition, develop safety requirements at function level , and participate in the safety design of each function.
  • Participate in the discussions of braking regulations or technical standards in Europe and globally, translate the content into system or safety design requirements, and into the software and hardware design of EMB. Represent Li Auto in the regulatory or technical standard discussions to propose suggestions or comments.
  • Review and optimize the safety design for EMB, guide and supervise the implementation of safety requirements/failure operational strategies in hardware and software design.
  • Participate in the development of verification criteria and test cases for safety requirements and degradation strategies, guide and supervise the implementation of tests, and review test results and test reports.


Requirements:

Education/Experience

  • 10 years+ experience in electric braking system development, with mass production development experience and test verification experience in redundancy strategies and interaction design for EHB or EMB products
  • At least more than 5 years experience, as a system leader or a key engineer, in electronic braking system development in Tier 1 supplier, and have been working on redundant braking systems, as a system leader or a key engineer, to support L3+ automatic driving systems.


Knowledge

  • Proficient in the ISO 26262 standard, and proficient in the FMEA/FTA for at least one by-wire chassis product.
  • Experience in fail-operational design and verification, with substantial mass production experience in redundancy control and interaction.
  • Familiar with ASPICE development process and methods, which are used in daily work.
  • Better understanding of braking related regulations, such as corresponding regulations or items in FMVSS, ECE, VDA etc.


Skills and Competencies

  • Proficiency in using safety analysis tools, such as IQ FMEA, ISOGRAPH RWB etc.
  • Proficiency in using system requirement tools, such as IBM DNG.
  • Proficiency in English communication and writing, Chinese is a plus.
  • Ability to solve and collaborate complex technical topics as a team worker.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure
